Rev. Dr. Clarence "Teddy" Williams
Rev. Clarence Williams is a native of Savannah, Georgia and a product of the public schools in Chatham County. He was called by the Lord into the Gospel Preaching Ministry in 1987. He delivered his first sermon at the First Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia in February 1988.
Before accepting the call to the preaching ministry, he served as minister of music for local churches, district, state and national conventions. His music ministry booklets are used in church music ministries across the country. His songs recorded with the Georgia Mass Choir, The Savannah Community Choir and other gospel music greats are heard worldwide.
He served eight years as Director of Ministries for the Connors Temple Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia with the primary task of developing and coordinating ministries. He is a certified instructor in both the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. and the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia, Inc.
He is a graduate of Savannah State College (now known as Savannah State University). His religious education includes studies at the Billy Graham School of Evangelism (Wheaton College), Beeson Divinity School (Samford University) and the Georgia Sheriff's Association Chaplain's Division Training Program. In 2004, he received an Honorary Doctorate of Christian Music Degree from the Great Commission School of Ministry and Seminary (Kansas City, MO).
He is the former pastor of the First African Baptist Church in Claxton, Georgia (January 1989-November 2001) and First Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia (December 12, 2001 - January 5, 2014), Moderator of the Berean Missionary Baptist Association, Inc. and pastor of the Pilgrim Baptist Church of Savannah (Chartered on Sunday, January 12, 2014). He is a former Chaplain for the Chatham County Sheriff and the current Chaplain for State University National Alumni Association. He is the spiritual voice of the Clarence "Teddy" Williams Evangelistic Ministries and Antioch 21st Century Ministries, Inc..
He is active in the community serving on the Chatham-Savannah Youth Furtures Authority Board of Directors, Community Relations Director for State Senator Lester G. Jackson, and on the Public Health Advisory Board at Georgia Sounthen University.
Twenty plus years of preaching, teaching and music ministry develpoment are packed into this spirit-filled man of God and offered to those with a thirst for God's Word through this ministry!
He is married to Linda Williams, the father of seven children and the grandfather of one.
